ylvester Stallone's road to getting Rocky made is the stuff of Hollywood legend. Here he is filming a scene with Carl Weathers.

Susan Oliver as Vina the Orion slave girl in the Star Trek episodes "The Cage" and "The Menagerie" (1965).

Makeup artist Fred B Phillips had an assistant reapply green Max Factor greasepaint between shots because the heat from the studio lights and the dancing caused Susan to sweat it off.



During filming she became very tired and a doctor was called in to give her a vitamin B shot. The doctor arrived but no one bothered to tell him what his patient looked like. He went over to Susan’s dressing room, knocked, the door swung wide and suddenly he was confronted with an all green woman. He was so flustered that it took him almost five minutes just to find a spot to administer the shot.

Anybody interested in her -- or '60s TV -- should check out a documentary called The Green Girl



Her story is interesting, but for me what made the film really fascinating was the near-endless run of clips from '60s TV shows. She may not have been on every TV series of the decade, but she was definitely on a hell of a lot of them.

I had no idea she was well known enough to have something like that done about her, I'll definitely track that down
