The series is officially titled Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, a sci-fi comedy spinoff of The Big Bang Theory streaming on HBO Max. It is scheduled to premiere on July 23, 2026, with ten episodes releasing weekly on Thursdays.

Plot and Cast Kevin Sussman returns as Stuart Bloom, who accidentally breaks a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, triggering a multiverse Armageddon. He is joined by Lauren Lapkus (Denise), Brian Posehn (Bert), and John Ross Bowie (Barry Kripke) as they traverse broken realities, including dystopian versions of Pasadena ruled by a military dictator Kripke or terrorized by giant moths. The show features alternate-universe versions of Big Bang Theory characters and was created by Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady, and Zak Penn, with theme music by Danny Elfman

I'm in, but I definitely expect it to be bad

I hope it's better than the Office spin off. I have actually enjoyed all of the Young Sheldon seasons. Also enjoyed the spin off show Georgie and Mandie's First marriage. They both remind me of the shows I grew up watching in the 90's.

I actually enjoyed it.

The first 2 episodes were weak

Then it hit it's stride, mainly when they let the Editor be silly

The black girl goes from great, to basic woke cutout. . .but she is minor and easily ignored

The rest of the cast is pretty solid

I assume the premise and “reveal” at the end of this thing is that this is actually just one of Stuart’s comics.

It’ll end with him placing the comic on the shelf in his store with the main cast coming in for comic book night.

Yeah. I didn't make it past the first 2 episodes. Maybe, I have to give it another chance. Appreciate the info.
