Marvel will get a pass on just about everything here; DC will get lambasted for every minor misstep.

The more that people (and trust me, there aren't really sides, we all love comic books) think this, the more it affects arguments. It just isn't true. However, MCU films are unequivocally more successful at this point, so yes, they get more praise. That's just a fact. Not some kind of bias.

Face it, if Superman had done the "superhero landing in BvS post- Deadpool the Marvel fanboys on here would be screaming, "Snyder is such a clichéd hack!!! Deadpool totally clowned him!!! What a POS!" Yet, in Civil War Spiderman nails the dismount in the epitome of the "superhero landing" and what do we hear? Crickets.

You're reading this moment so wrong. First, no one would have complained at all about a landing in BvS, there were other more important things to care about. You're just making this up.

Two, people cheered over the Spider-Man entrance, not because he landed in a super hero pose, but because it was a HUGE win to get THAT specific hero in THAT specific film at THAT specific time. It was triumphant because of his entrance into the MCU, not because people liked his landing. You have to read between the lines...

Three, even if you don't want to read between the lines, Spider-Man more than any other hero just about, is iconic partially BECAUSE of his form. Getting the way he moves right is part of getting the character right. So yes, it's more important for Spidey to look cool landing, swinging, and jumping more than any other comic book character. Superman's iconic form, which people jizzed over in the MoS trailers, was the one hand out flying. And we got. And people cheered.

Don't make stuff up.

BvS' Batman action scenes are some of the best in the superhero genre.

The warehouse Batman fight was awesome. And that's about it for sequences. The Doomsday fight was just lights and explosions. And the BvS fight was pretty tame outside of a few frames.

I don't know anyone IRL that complains as much as the posters on here

Well it might have something to do with this being a Movie/TV message board? But maybe not

I don't know anyone outside of this board that really liked MoS fwiw. Granted, the movie nerds I know are here and like one or two people outside of that. Most of the general audience I know gave MoS a big "Meh."

But my experience, nor your experience can justify it being "good," or "bad."

Hey this is the movie board. I don't troll here, so no need to bring up stuff from other boards .

Man, at the end of the day, all this bickering about this movie is pointless.

The OP asked if BvS is worth a watch. The objective answer is, if you like the superhero genre, then yes, it is.

Ratings, rankings, personal opinions about the quality aside- the film made over $800 million, so the following movies will be made.

If you are intending to see, or even considering seeing, any of the sequels etc, then it does no good to skip this. It's like deciding to NOT see one of the Marvel movies, then seeing the others. The films are like episodes, if you skip one, you will miss something.

I was most aggravated that it got the characters wrong. I look at the two title characters and think "that's not something superman or batman would ever do", that's a problem. All of the characters in the movie are worthless.
