I'm watching Batman and Robin (George Clooney, Uma Thurman, Arnold Schwarzenegger) and the scene where Poison Ivy confronts Bruce Wayne about stopping pollution and hurting the environment just showed.

Wow, how times have changed.

Poison Ivy tells him to stop all fossil fuels and Bruce tells her that people wouldn't be able to heat their homes or keep their food cold. He ends the discussion by saying "people come first."

Poison Ivy is portrayed as a lunatic for having this ideal but she would barely be fringe by today's standards.

Side note, it's so wierd to remember that George Clooney once defended fossil fuels. (Even if it was as a fictional character)

This small minded argument was dumb the first time. Now it’s just retarded.

Eco terrorism was a very popular plot line for script writers in the 90s

Nazis we’re getting a little stale as a villain for every movie so they had to come up with a new trope

What’s wrong with Liam Neeson?

He’s even good as Ra’s al Ghul

Kind of how Chris Farley's character in Black Sheep would have been celebrated for his "Kill Whitey" rant
