Seems too old for that. Or P'Li is a lot older than she looked.
Either way, if that is P'Li's kid, then she has a double justification to hate Suyin's guts, given that she killed her mother. And she could've become the mask of sorts, being seeded in that city and becoming pretty close to her.
A Magneto like control of metal would be awesome. In fact, it's kinda required for her to be a real threat to Korra and the others.

I assumed that they were all in their 40s and 50s, and if Kuvira is in her mid 20s, then it is entirely possible.

Yeah, metalbending hasn't been pushed as nearly as far as it can go. While we've had Long Feng, the Earth Queen, and several other minor earthbending antagonists, we haven't had a big bad that was an earthbender. Think they're up to bat.

Still think she's Zaheer's and Combustion Woman's daughter.
Is that possible? It hasn't been said, but I was always under the assumption that in order to bend a certain element you had to be born from a previous bender of that element. It has been like that with everyone they have shown so far.
The only exception so far has been the airbenders thanks to harmonic convergence.
Metalbending isn't like airbending where there are years upon years of text and study to where she could just learn it and be able to master it like Zaheer did with airbending.

I'm under the assumption that Zaheer was descended from Earthbenders. Aside from Bumi, we haven't met a new airbender that wasn't from the Earth Kingdom. If Zaheer is descended from Earthbenders, then it's entirely possible.

But she lives in Zaofu and was likely trained directly by Su. Seems like a good person to be trained by.

Yeah, I agree, I was just speaking if she gained metal bending from harmonic convergence, but as of now the only bending it sparked was air bending.

Never realized that until you mentioned it, you're right it is possible if Zaheer was a decendent of earthbenders.

And it seems it's coming out really soon as well. Bet within the year.

I'm very excited about this but i'm also very surprised. Also a bit sad that it's all going to be over soon.

I'm just really hoping Netflix buys out the franchise. Nickelodeon has turned into a cesspool of entertainment, although my only real current experience with it has been the shows proceeding Korra when I turned it on, and in pediatric practices when the channel just happen to be on.
Korra is really just on another level than what Nick has turned into. It's clear all of those shows treat kids like they're idiots, and don't count on entertaining adults at all. Go back and watch Hey Arnold or Rocko and it's clear they're trying to give an entertaining show to adults to watch with their kids, while I can't imagine any adult not wanting to gouge their eyes out with that witch or superhero show.
I really want to see a nuclear or cyberpunk Avatar, and not have to beat around the bush on what they actually want to do or what they did. Zaheer, while he quite plainly murders the Earth Queen on screen, is not allowed to directly say he did but imply it in every single way possible that even a person with an IQ at freezing point could understand. I wouldn't make it mature enough where kids couldn't watch it, but I just would really like to see them on a network that would respect the show and let them do whatever the hell they wanted to. Seems like a gun could really change much of the dynamics of the fight, but Nick obviously won't allow them to do that, but Netflix certainly would.

The only benefit of going online only is we don't have to wait 2 years between seasons this time.

Is that Earth Kingdom girl Bo Lin's wind-bending girlfriend?

I think you're talking about Opal
Opal is the girl with short hair and wearing an air nomad outfit
From the trailer it looks like Kuvira, girl in the metal clan outfit it going to enforce Marshall Law on the world.

I really don't think it will be as simple as Kuvira merely being a villain. I'm guessing Ba Sing Se is still in shambles and likely run by a hanging judge and a kangaroo court, to where stability will be something she strives to do, but go through unethical means to do it.
