Also, does the scene at the end between Oliver and Diggle mean that Diggle's character is on its way out? Or at least not an every episode character anymore?

They've been saying that this season is going to be about the characters finding their "identities" and places in their new lives. I'm guessing that he will try and remove himself from Team Arrow, but will struggling with it throughout the season, and eventually will up back with Team Arrow.

I am 100% certain that Sara's assassin wasn't Thea. Most of the Green Arrow fanboys are pointing to Komodo, a character from the Green Arrow's rogues gallery. Looking at the promo for next week, you see a quick flash of a man dressed similarly to Komodo's attire in the comics.

Whoever it was, they are connected to the League of Assassins in some way because they and Ra's Al Ghul are the main villains in season three.

Just throwing it out there. Feel like it's plausible. We agree on one thing. It wasn't Malcolm or Ra's.

That could really describe any character after tonight, Ollie, Felicity, Lance, possibly even Laurel if she becomes the Canary later in the season.

I could see him staying out of it for most of the season but coming back to help Ollie take care of R'as at the end of the season.

Also, I know we talked about it at the end of last season, but I'm happy that the flashbacks are finally off of the island. Tonight didn't reveal much but its an interesting new twist in Ollie's back story

Plus if Malcolm or Ra's would have been the one standing there Sara would have instantly been on guard. She stayed relaxed because whoever it was wasn't a threat in her mind.

That's why I'm not ruling out Nyssa. She probably figured that if Nyssa didn't go through with killing her last season, she wouldn't be there to do it this season.

There was another hint there with the voice masking. I doubt they would do that for Ra's and Malcolm never used it.

Malcolm actually did use voice masking in season 1.

Komodo is actually an interesting theory.

Looks like next week's episode is going to be a gut-wrencher. Here is the EW postmortem that talks about the upcoming episode: LINK

And it looks like Nyssa is out of the running as a suspect. I guess I'm now leaning toward Komodo.

BTW...check out the comments at the end of the article. There are some pissed of folks at Sara's death, and they are absolutely bashing Laurel.

I think its someone sent by Ra's if not Ra's himself. Shes been back with him got awhile now, so she wouldnt be on guard if he showed up. It also gives a good intro to his character in this universe and gives Oliver hate for him. It's also been hinted that Oliver and Malcolm will probably end up teaming up to beat Ra's so I highly doubt it's Malcolm.

I dont think its Nyssa, although I would love a Nyssa/Oliver love story spin out of all this. Someone who finally outmatches him.

Anyone think that boxing match was done on purpose? Bet wildcat was there and itll come back into play.

Yeah one of the boxers in the ring was Wildcat, and the show runners have already stated that Wildcat will start training Laurel this season (like he did in the comics).

In the article I linked above, they said that Nyssa will definitely fill the female "arse kicker" void left by Sara. Now I don't know if they'll be romantically involved or not, but she'll definitely have some interactions on the side of Team Arrow.

So I guess if Nyssa takes Sara's spot Laurel isn't going to be the Black Canary this season

Also, the article answered my question about Diggle

Can't see Brandon Routh anymore without thinking of him with his vegan superpowers in Scott Pilgrim.

I have a feeling that Nyssa, if she joins up with Team Arrow, will more than likely wind up training Laurel. She will eventually become the Black Canary. With Sara's death this is all but assured now. She'll be out for vengeance. The question now is how and when she fills that role.

She may train her some, as will Oliver eventually, but Wildcat will be her initial trainer. Him being in the boxing match wasn't just a standalone Easter egg. Plus Wildcat training Laurel is a pretty well known story line in the DC comics universe.

I was half expecting the meta storm to hit Laurel and to have her scream at the end shatter all of the windows around her.
