Kinda. It is 11 guys and 11 girls living in a house, real world style. The guys and girls are secretly paired into male-female couples by producers, via a matchmaking algorithm. Then, while living together, the contestants try to identify all of these "perfect matches." If they succeed, the entire group shares a prize of up to $1 million.

Over the course of each season, the contestants have the opportunity to pair up in different combinations to compete against each other to win dates, as well as the opportunity to learn in the "truth booth" if a given couple is a correct match. At the end of each episode, the contestants pair up in a "matching ceremony" and learn how many perfect matches they have, but not which matches are correct. If there are no perfect matches at the matching ceremony, the total prize is reduced.

It is the trashiest thing I watch on TV, by a mile. But I tune in every week for some unknown reason.

The house is for sale.

Like 1.6 million.

I'd always assumed the real world places took big houses, gutted them, made them functional for the season, and then put them back after they were done.

The house was already for sale before the show.

I think the tv people had to fix whatever they broke including sod/yard in addition to the inside of the house. They also got all new floors in the house and I'm sure they got paid as well.

They had lights everywhere on the house. It was definitely something to see.

How close are the neighbors. Can't imagine they were excited a reality show moved in next door.

Theres a house next door and I'm pretty sure they used it for parking and some other stuff. Think they got paid some as well. Don't know how much.

There really isnt anyone else that close. I dont live there, but it is definitely an OT baller neighborhood. Really surprised they let MTV in that place.

Has anyone noticed the show has basically phoned in the challenges this season

In previous seasons, they’d leave the house and actually do competitive, somewhat physical events.

This season, they don’t even leave the house for the challenges and it’s just some quick guessing game.

Well it is probably because they realize no one cares about the challenges.

They set this one up to basically guarantee Clinton and Uche went into the truth booth. All he had to do was not answer and have no one pick him.

I just don't see them trying. They need to put some money on challenge wins.

bump for last night.

Without having any confirmed matches, it's going to be really hard for them to win. Even a blackout would actually help them at this point.

I've thought for years that the show was rigged, it's just too easy for the producers to change matches mid way. Plus the show has to go 10 weeks.

it's actually not rigged, and the producers cant change the matchups.

there are blogs that follow the show and figure out all the matches weeks in advance, using a simple chart and process of elimination. if the producers were changing the matches on the fly, those bloggers wouldnt nail the final results.

Seems like they are finally figuring things out.

Still trying to figure out which of the couples are the beams. I think it's going to be people we wouldn't even think of, like Joe/Zoe or Ethan and Jada.

Alexis has potential Challenge upside. Girl is totally crazy and seems the type to light your car on fire just for talking to the checkout woman at Walmart

Also, I had no idea Ethan is 27. Odd age to be on the show. Most of the cast is like 21-23

It hurt my heart all the random things they were adding to the gumbo.

Every week I tune in and forget how much I hate Kareem. Then, 5 seconds into the show, I remember.

A black out or a one beam with a confirmation as to who the beam is will be the only way for them to get it going.

getting the 4 beams with so few weeks left doesn't really help them.

a confirmed match or blackout is what they really need.

Yeah but if they can turn it around from 3 to 4 in a week with little to no effort, I think they can get up to 7 or 8 next week

The gumbo challenge was hilarious and cringe worthy in the same sense. Beyond my belief how no one can cook...even the females. That’d be a huge red flag for me

they had 3 or 4 in like the third week, and look how they did the next few weeks.

getting 4 beams this week was dumb luck. they really have no clue who any of those beams are. not confirming a match in the truth booth at this point is really killing their chances.

they need to find out who was the 1 beam in the second week. then they will know everyone else whom sat together is a guaranteed no match. from there, they can use process of elimination to figure out more matches.

Yea. Their goal should be figuring out who they beam was.

Only couples matched at that ceremony should go in the truth booth

Alexis the craziest chick in the house is the most mature no match on the show. I also think she and Joe are matches

I also think Tyler's match is a white girl and Uche's match is probably not black, so that automatically gives them a bit of a tip.

Alivia (Holy shite is she a smokeshow) is probably a match with Keith. I have no idea who white rapper's girl is... I don't think anyone in the house is attracted to him in the least.

Is still think they're all fricked because they pissed away half the season just hooking up and throwing fits at anyone who eyed their girl or guy.

Looks like we get lots if Kareem next week too.... It's really a toss up between him and Gio as the most hated cast member ever. At least Gio knew he was fricked up, especially on AYTO second chances... I think this douche bag Kareem actually thinks he's some normal cool dude instead of the biggest shitbag on the cast. How the hell are any of these girls drawn to him... He has that whole Ike Turner vibe big time.

As bad as Kareem is, nobody will ever be half the whack job that gio was on his season. He was literally insane the way he was chasing around Julia.

I just don't see how they don't speed date on the first night. Everyone walk in, grab a drink, put on a name tag, and speed date. And you should have to spend an hour a week with every option that could be a match.

The fact that there is a week between ceremonies shocks me. What are they doing?
