for some reason Interstellar has pretty average reviews despite being considered one of Nolan's best works. I think this was some coordinated hit job against Nolan for some unknown agenda

Modern movies with a Christian theme will often get review bombed.
Nefarious (2023) went unreservedly into Christian morality and it was blasted with negative reviews. The movie, though somewhat hurting by a low budget and a too quick ending, was really good.
It was pretty obvious that some reviewers hadn’t even seen the movie, possibly only clips. It was the theme that they didn’t like, even though a rather large percentage of the world’s population believes in the things portrayed, or at least are open to the possibility.
The actor who played a man on death row who was possessed by a demon gave an oscar worthy performance.
