Are you an actual historian or just someone who listen to history podcasts on your way to and from work?
Because
A. Nobody here cares if the movie was 100% historically accurate (which isn't possible anyway)
B. SFP already thoroughly addressed what you're saying before you said it. Nobody cares about your quibbles with the way he addressed it.
C. It seems like you just regurgitated the talking points from that podcast he referenced.

If you have Great Courses Plus as a amazon channel. They have a pretty good 34 part lecture on Ancient Mesoamerica. Very interesting course. A plus is the professor started off saying he will use BC not the BCE shite. :)

Rewatched it last night because of this thread.
Still like it but it's just one big chase movie without cars.
I thought the scenes in the City were great and wish there had been more beyond...sacrifice and then run for your lives.
Gibson is a bold but strange dude...no other person would make a movie like this and try to mass sell it to audiences.

Just watched this after skimming the board for a movie. Wow. Somehow I missed this movie all together.
The first question at the end of the movie - what happened to all of the other blue painted slave guys after jaguar paw runs off?

I don't know a single person who has seen Apocalypto that didn't absolutely love it. Also, seems like it comes on IFC all the time.
