How about you watch the movie before you judge it on its surface. The critics who don’t like it so far are pissed off due to sterotyping and cultural appropriation. To be honest I find the Hispanics conservative and very family oriented in general. From the previews this seems to be the case and pissing off Leftists.

Lots of stupid Republicans said that WALL-E was PC bullshite because it had a message of conserving the environment and was against corporatism, but it also had the message of being proactive, getting off your fat arse and helping the world, not relying on the state, and treating people as individuals rather than the collective. You only heard the haters for about 4 years after it’s release, but I think that most people these days actually get the overall message.

I think Coco will largely be the same, and it’s worth a chance. I think WALL-E gave you far more reason to think it wasn’t Leftist propaganda than Coco does. It’s just a movie that takes place in Mexico.

WALL-E can just as easily be about the harms of big government and socialism from a political perspective. While protecting the environment is the low hanging fruit, the people of earth got into that position thanks to a globalist, socialist structure and were trapped in that same structure on the Axiom with the illusion of choice. The captain wasn’t the captain. And the passengers only thought they were choosing a lifestyle.

Because it’s a film about Mexicans in an era where Mexicans are victims and white people are bad according to liberals

The characters are Mexican because that’s where the story has its roots. They’re a product of the story. It’s not like they’re illegal immigrants and Muslim terrorists. Ffs.

That’s like saying Moana, Brave, Frozen, Sanjay’s Super Team... anything without all white, American cast is “virtue signaling”. That’s extremely ignorant.

If anything, Pixar has been very very “white” when it comes to humans/equivalents...

Toy Story movies: All white
Incredibles: all white except for one character (Black)
Up: All white except for one character (Asian)
Monsters, Inc.: White girl
Brave: All white
Ratatouille: All white except one chef
Finding Nemo: All white
Inside out: All white except for teacher (black)
Good Dinosaur: All white

Geri’s Game: white guy
One man band: All white
Presto: white guy
La Luna: All white

Ok, point out the bad white people in this movie. I feel very certain that will have no part in this film. Mexico just gives you a lot to go off of as a culture. Was Ratatouille racist or xenophobic for showing France? Hey from an anti-French perspective, it would be insulting to call them anything other than cowards.

This is from a studio of high thought that possibly made the best conservative movie of the century so far in the Incredibles, and Ell put forth an extremely viable conservative message for WALL-E. It also largely threw San Fran under the bus for Inside Out. It’s not a studio guilty of Leftist messages and more tells people that life is deservingly hard, but this is how you can overcome it and be a better human being at the end.

It’s way better than most animation studios that say “you are special and awesome, and anyone who doesn’t see that is a bigot and evil.” If Pixar has a character with a shortcoming (like say Nemo or Flik), then you have to work hard and be held to the same standards as others. I think Pixar has largely been one of the more traditional and conservative studios in Hollywood.

Well, if she was, they didn’t go all out on her look. Almost like how some people didn’t notice that’s Russel was Asian. But that’s my point, Pixar isn’t known for adding “minorities” for the sake of it. So creating a whole movie about a Mexican folklore simply because of the current attitude in America is completely ridiculous. Especially when these stories/movies take many years to get made. ETA: Idea was first pitched in 2010.

Yeah, it’s Pixars longest production since WALL-E, which was 10 years. There have been whispers of this film since 2013 and they were jabbering up a storm about it. From Pixar, that tends to be a good sign.

You said you couldn’t judge Brave because you haven’t seen it. But you can judge Coco without seeing it? This isn’t about disagreeing. It’s about your ignorance.

Pixar's movies are straight fire. I probably won't see Coco in theaters, but I'm sure it will be fine.

You’re saying it’s all racist identity politics shite. I have significant evidence on the contrary. Sorry if it all points in my direction and I feel like going in detail.

Well they’ve already done monsters, cars, aliens, dinosaurs, and robots, so who knows. All those minority dinosaurs really annoyed me.

1) welcome to how message boards work

2) You don’t have an opinion. You have a shite take on a movie you haven’t seen.
