Predator is such an excellent movie and to me does the best job of capturing the scariness of an alien creature.
The score, the infared POV shots, the isolation of the South American jungle, the heat, etc.
just everything about it is almost perfect

Ahh thanks. Makes sense now. I always just thought it was a poorly thought out excuse to blow shite up and get the team in the jungle w the Predator.
