Love the old school format of just comics sitting around riffing on people. No politics. And Spade is just a very funny dude, perfect for this type of show.
youtube - Lights Out
I still miss Craig Ferguson though . . .

I follow him on Instagram for the highlights. Haven't watched a full show. His monologues are clever and well written.

Love the show but it would be better without some of those lame arse repeat guest no name comedians on the panel. When he actually has good guests it’s golden.

I like when he has other comics that he’s known worked with for years. It like just a bunch of dudes ripping on each other.
He had Norm on and Norm kept riding him During the monologue so he pulled a “a camel a cow and a donkey were found wandering down a Kansas road. They told police yeah we got lost we were trying to find the setup to a norm McDonald joke”

And another vote that being non-political really works for this show.
Shitting on politicians is just lazy at this point.

Didnt they deliberately advertise it as non-political? Nice to see it's worked out.

They messed with the time it came on after the sorry arse daily show. Show was a sacrificial lamb. I’m guessing starting it 5 minutes off the regular time didn’t help it’s ratings but maybe boosted another

Comedy Central produces these shows, makes it next to impossible for you to stream them, then cancels them after 2 seasons and finds a new show to start the cycle back over with

Sad to see this go while the two least funny people on television, Samantha Bee and Trevor Noah, are still on.

frick.
Why can't we have one fricking talk show that is funny without having stars on to suck each other off.
A half hour of Spade and his friends verbally fricking each over was the best talk TV in years.

Why is spade still doing YouTube videos like wvry day, still under the name Lights Out?
He basically did like two weeks of Tiger King interview episodes and is now doing joint sessions with other comedians and talking about topics like the regular show did.
Comedy Central did the same bullshite with Norm Macdonald'old sports show. It was getting over a million viewers per episode and then they just pulled the plug.
Yet the Daily Show, which doesn't get much more than that, keeps rolling along with the unfunniest host on television.
At least John Stewart was legitimately funny. Sandler should just bankroll his own youtube network and have Norm and Spade and others have shows on it.

Maybe because he is trying to sell it elsewhere.
