The last funny Family Guy episode that stands out is the one where Brian and Stewie time travel back to Nazi Germany.

It's been out for more than a week. Already been 3 episodes. It has been pretty awesome so far.
ETA: I actually think there are 4 episodes out, but I've been watching on Hulu and they only have the first 3 as of now.

yeah its gone downhill. the early episodes were pretty funny, but the newer ones are just stupid.

best episodes of Family Guy are the originals from before it got cancelled. Ever since it came back .
I know The Simpsons is no where near the quality it once was but I still watch it, because I grew up on it. I stopped watching Family Guy years ago because for the most part its unfunny.What pisses me off the most about it is the episodes where they seem to only have a 10 minute story, but then throw in a 10 minute fight between Peter and the Chicken. If I want to watch it I will pop in the originals on DVD.

I love family guy but they make me cringe lately with how hard they put in the atheist and political beliefs on you in the show, which is terrible since they make fun of republicans and religous people for doing the same thing

This is the answer. It's for people who are movie/tv/pop culture/history buffs and are smart enough to catch the subtle references on top of the obvious ones.

Meh. I don't really see Family Guy much...the times I have, there may be funny moments here and there, but I can't help but get the impression that it's trying too hard. A lot of the jokes will seem almost forced or simply not funny. I neither hate nor love the show, it's just somewhat overrated.

Not funny at all. I have tried and am sorely disappointed every time. I get many of the references but still, it just sucks. Being a writer for that show must be a breeze.
