re: Anyone Checking Out Umbrella Academy Tomorrow?

I finished it last night and it suffers from pacing like most Netflix shows. It would’ve been a lot better if it was 7 or 8 episodes instead of 10. We should’ve gotten more scenes with 5 and a lot less of Ellen Page. The kid that played 5 was great and was the best actor in the show. I enjoyed it enough that I hope season 2 gets made.

Also, Mary J Blige was terrible. Not sure if it was the way the character was written or her performance, but she was awful in comparison to her partner

Just finished episode 8 and they went full game of thrones. Was it expecting that at all


ETA thru 8 episodes I’ve skipped like an entire episodes worth of Elle pages scenes and have hardly missed a thing

Just finished it. It was ok. Hopefully season 2 is better. I assume there is a season 2. I wouldn't mind a spoiler thread.

It's a great property with a lot of potential. They need things to fill the marvel gap. It's easier when fewer people know about the source material. There is a plan for 8 story lines and only 2.5 have been released. So there are still a lot of unanswered questions. 7s progression to vilian in the book is a lot cheesier than what was in the show.
The soundtrack was great.
Looking forward to season 2
