Filmed over a 3-4 year period. Beautifully done. Gave me an appreciation for the Iranian people (as opposed to their political/religious leaders) that I did not have. Looking forward to Part 2 tonight.

I am watching it now. 30 minutes in. Its interesting since its not heavy handed but more free flowing. I found it funny that they even have a name for outside "journalists" who come in for stereotypical quick hit propaganda documentaries that they termed "Iran under the veils". Anyways good so far thanks for the recommendation.

I almost didn't watch it because of what you just mentioned. When it comes to Muslims, PBS and Frontline are usually about as subtle as a kick to the groin. So I thought for sure it was going to be 4 hours of West-bashing and "look how great Muslims are." I was pleasantly surprised with how little indoctrination was going on.

Frontline seriously may be a candidate for GOAT status.
