It actually feels alot like the shitty, yet awesome 1995 film. I just hope they use the old theme song. The trailer slaps me right back to visions of my packed out little local theater as an 8 year old watching the original.

I'm 43 years old and grew up playing MK on Playstation 1. I always used Scorpion to play with. Me and my buddies are having an old school gaming night for the premier!

Definitely pumped for this. The trailer was pretty amazing.
Has anybody watched the animated one on Prime Video (the one with Joel McHale as Johnny Cage)? It looks decent, but I have no desire to pay extra to watch/rent it.
HBOMax doing these with no upcharge is fantastic.

MK 1 was in the genesis/snes days baw.
Snes had no blood but you could do a gore code on genesis. A, B, A, C, A, B, B...will never forget that one or the one for contra

Bro, I can't wait for Mortal Kombat. That game and those movies were a staple of my childhood. I'm looking forward to it just as much as I did when they started making the new Ninja Turtle movies.

Oh that's how I watch, no worries.
Most of the reviews seem like folks that want something called "a decent story" or "acting"
But none of that crap is why I want to see a Mortal Kombat movie.
I want gratuitous violence.
