So, why was Ron Goldman there? What was his association with Nicole?
On the evening of Sunday, June 12, 1994, Goldman worked a server shift at Mezzaluna Trattoria in Brentwood. Brown called to report that her mother had inadvertently dropped her reading glasses outside by the gutter when they dined there earlier in the evening. Goldman had not been their server, but after a search at the restaurant turned up the glasses, Goldman agreed, at Brown’s request, to drop them off at her home after work. "Ron interjected he’d be happy to return them," said Tia Gavin, who waited on the Brown party.[11]
The Los Angeles Times reported that Goldman "punched out at 9:33 pm and stayed another 15 minutes to have bottled water at the bar."[6] He made plans to go out with Mezzaluna's bartender Stewart Tanner later that evening. Before returning the glasses, Goldman stopped by his Brentwood apartment at 11663 Gorham Avenue, presumably to shower and change clothes; his autopsy indicated he ate a salad less than 40 minutes before he was killed.[12] He then drove to Brown’s condominium, using his friend Andrea Scott's car.

So, he had absolutely no connection to Nicole? And if she knew her mother dropped her glasses near a gutter, why didn't they pick them up themselves? Did he walk up on the murder as it was happening?

I watched another documentary about it. Maybe the one on Court TV.
They were friends but he probably wanted to be more than friends.

Wouldn’t have mattered. That jury wasn’t going to convict OJ.
Exactly, the jurors even knew he was guilty - everyone knew he was guilty. It was more about a misplaced notion of justice for past ills that free a cold blooded murderer.
The evidence they had was much more than enough to convict.

And letting the trial be shown live to a television audience did not help the prosecution at all.
Mark Fuhrman, should have admitted he used racial slurs or should have said I don't recall every word I have said in the past 10 years. Not said "no"

LA was just coming off of those brutal riots...they didn't want to experience that again and made sure OJ got off....and that's the only reason he got off

Again, yeah he could have, but that would have made zero difference, just the inference and questions would have been enough.

I retract my last comment about Furhman, I forgot about the Tapes

So, he had absolutely no connection to Nicole?
Nicole was friendly with most of the staff at Mezzaluna (the restaurant where Goldman worked). She had dated Keith Zlomsowitch, who was the manager (maybe co-owner / partner?) at that location. Zlomsowitch testified that Simpson used to spy on him whenever he was with Nicole and once broke into her house while they were hooking up (this article provides a good summary).
There's no evidence that Ron & Nicole were nothing more than casual acquaintances. The guy was unfortunately in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Another common misconception - Nicole was not a coke head or even a regular drug user. She had no drugs in her system, no paraphernalia was found at her house, and her friends said that she helped Faye Resnick get sober.

Even though he was found not guilty in some sense he faced an severe punishment in that he lost all the trappings of wealth and fame and still had to move in the same world where he had those things.

One thing I never understood, and I 100% think OJ did it, is the blood in the Bronco. I know there was SOME blood in the Bronco, but after seeing the crime scene I don’t understand how the inside of the Bronco wasn’t covered in blood.

Watch the documentary I posted on page 2. Expert explains how so little blood would not be on perp except legs/shoes. Does a full reenactment

Okay. Can you give a two or three sentence explanation though? Again, I know he did it, I just never understood that part. Thought he might have had help cleaning up.

Nicole had called the restaurant and Goldman volunteered to return the glasses to her. He absolutely walked up on Nicole being murdered. She was stabbed in the torso as Ron was walking up the corridor to the front door. He shouted "hey, hey" and OJ turned towards him and attacked him. Ron had to fight him bare handed with OJ wielding a large knife. He dropped the glasses as this was happening, which were found in a white envelope at the scene. Once OJ finished with Ron, he went back to Nicole who was trying to get up and slashed her throat from behind.

Also I don’t think they mentioned the shoes? If they had that pic of him wearing them for the criminal trial I wonder if it would have made a difference? Only like 200 something pairs were sold.
I'm pretty sure the photo of Simpson wearing the Buno Magli shoes was discovered after the murder trial and was introduced in the civil trial.

I don't think so...I believe they introduced a picture at the trial of him in the shoes and with the same gloves on, on the sideline of an NFL game he was covering for NBC sports, months prior to the murder. But, "if the gloves don't fit you must acquit" had already happened in the grandstanding trial..

I remember the photo of him wearing the gloves and the receipt for purchasing the gloves being submitted as evidence in the criminal trial, but not the photo of the Bruno magli shoes. In the criminal trial, all the prosecution did was call a Bloomindales salesman to the stand to testify that he recalled that OJ bought some Bruno Magli shoes.
If you recall, in the civil trial, OJ testified in his deposition that he would never wear those "ugly arse shoes" and then the Goldman lawyers hit him with the pictures in the trial.

Just finished watching the documentary.
I assume this is how it played out. But I can't understand why he left socks upstairs unless he went up to her bathroom to try to clean up before leaving. But it seems like if you kill people and leave them out in the open, you would GTFO asap and not worry about cleaning up

The socks in question were found in his bedroom at Rockingham not at Nicole's place.
