Yeah, the preliminary tryouts were near the end of July. The callback for the performance in front of the judges was in October.

Game on.

Solid audition. And Steven Tyler is hilarious.

That 16 yr. old could sing some country. He'll get a nod whether he makes the final cut or not.

This was on the local paper's website from July-

At Wednesday's auditions, contestants filed into the Bradley Center, where they performed at one of 12 tables of "Idol" producers. After each contestant briefly sang a song of their choice, the producers decided whether he or she advanced to "winner's circle," where contestants filled out forms and were asked to return to Milwaukee at a later date for a second round of auditions - this time, in front of "Idol" executive producers.

The date for the second round has yet to be determined, but it's expected to be in late August. Season 10 of "Idol" begins airing in January.

Then I remember the judge's round was in October because I was at Farm Aid & Steven Tyler made a special appearance, singing with Willie Nelson, because he was in town for the taping.

Gotta at least be a cousin.

see this is the problem, how did the last guy get through the first round and the second round to get in front of Randy and them. It's just i understand why, but they leave out some that the judges might have liked for people who had no shot.
My boy went to an audition a while back and he said plenty of people way better than him were turned down and he's pretty good, for the random run of the mill weirdo.
