re: American Idol : Season 10 Thread

Speaking of the order they go . . . don't the Top 10 go on the "Idol Tour" after the season? I seem to recall that they always made a big deal about the cut between the top 10 versus the top 12 since it determined who would be working for the next year on tour.

In cutting two last night (#10 and #11), they did not specify which one was 10th and which was 11th or did I miss it?

Glad to see Mufasa go...sorry to see Thea go.She has a great voice but, I think she just may have been a little too young still. It seems destined to be James,Pia and Jacob in the final 3. They made mention of scotty being a one trick pony....which is true. if this were country idol he'd have already won.

I would have rather seen paul go last night instead of thea. He really doesn't sing all that well.

I don't remember where the final 11 all came from, no one from Philly to sing Philadelphia Freedom?

Judges were harsh on Thia the last few weeks. The girl can flat out sing. She was one of my favorites and I hate seeing her gone. I think the constant criticism that she got from Randy and J-Lo influenced alot of callers thus the early exit.

I was ok with Naima going. Casey needed to be gone with her, he is way over rated.

Love me some Haley.

Stefano, Casey, Paul should be gone in the next few.

Agree with you. She sounded exceptional every time she sang. Then you get the growler they saved and the squealing rocker that do the same thing every week and they go nuts. Thea sounded better than both of those guys and Jacob. Jacob is horrid as is Paul. Paul has no range at all and gets out of tune really fast if he's not within a couple of notes the entire song. Jacob.. just... :shudder:. Luther Vandross he is not.

James will be Top 5.

Stefano should be the next guy to go, followed by Casey unless he sticks to what he did this week.

All three of the girls remaining are good, but Haley will be the first gone. Pia and Lauren should be top 3, but who knows.

I would do an overall ranking of:

4. Haley
5. Jacob
6. Casey
7. Paul
8. Stefano
9. Scotty

top 3 for sure.

haley doesn't seem to get votes and the judges always seem pretty hard on her.

i think jacob is gradually sinking down the list. he has a lot of range but it's overdone imo.

paul reminds me of the guy last year who covered paula abdul. started out great and just never did anything else but hung around for a while. i liked him in the beginning but he has struggled since the top 24.

i think casey is good but had a bad week, he needs to stick to his bluesy style. he was trying to risk it all every week and failed. he also toned down on the grunting.

stefano wasn't a bad save for the wildcards, he's just part of the number crunches now.

the bad part about the save is if someone like pia gets voted off in 2 weeks somehow. don't see it happening tho.
