Yeah, Mike's shelter didn't look very sturdy at all come a heavy wind. However now that his sink and oven are complete, he'll start working on his brick walls and clay tile roof.

You can certainly build a tarp based structure properly to withstand wind. He looks to be in a thicket of trees which will help and if he can lower the tarp to near ground level while keeping it taut, it will continue to be solid. Doesnt mean it will last though.

Not really.
There will always be some sag that will be a perfect buffet for the wind.
His whole camp is such an open structure that he's going to get really cold.
His best quick fix scenario is to go the Lucas route and make that round house.

Yeah. It's pretty large. I think a smaller one might be better for staying dry and warm, but it would suck if you were confined to it for more than a day.

I hope that rat causes Larry to just lose it. I mean I hope he freaking blows a fuse and goes bat shite crazy. This guy beats his wife. I just know it. The dude said he couldn't even remember when he got pissed at that tree and start to beat on it. He just blacks out when he gets pissed off. I bet his wife has many stories to tell.

They are really putting some effort into their shelters so far. Randy's log cabin was pretty impressive. Only 4 people made it this long in season 1?

I liked last episode. The weather is going to start to be a constant issue for them from here on out...
What episode do you think we'll see the clip from the show's intro of the coyote running up to the person? Or do you think it was shot by the guys that go around getting the establishing shots?
