Rutger Hauer was an amazing "bad guy" in the movies but his role in "Ladyhawk" as Etienne of Navarre was a fantastic and tragic hero.

Kiefer Sutherland played almost exclusively bad guys until 24. Was weird to see him as the good guy.
Was the swashbuckler Athos in the 90s man. It doesn’t get anymore “good” than that.

The first thing I remembered Scott Glenn for was Urban Cowboy. Was strange seeing him being a sympathetic character carrying an enema bag in The Right Stuff.
The first thing I remembered Ray Liotta for was Something Wild, where he plays a homicidal maniac. It was weird seeing him as a nice guy, Joe Jackson, in Field of Dreams.

Yeah, but Lithgosw absolutely killed the role of Winston Churchill in The Crown, even though he's a foot taller than Churchill was.
