.....a pile of garbage. Nuff said

Saw it in theaters and loved it. Came out ready to eat somebody's face off. Saw it again at home and realized how slow, boring, and poorly written it is. I understand it was based off Miller's comic, which I own, but some of it was painful.

I can't watch it anymore.

I think the Battle of Thermopylae is a great story that should be told. Can you find a better and more entertaining example of that specific battle in film? Please post it when you find it.

One of my favorite parts is when Leonidas is eating an apple and walking over dead bodies while his guys find and stab survivors, and in reference to meeting xerxes he says with a mouth full of apple 'there's no reason we can't be civilized'

So many awesome quotes too. My favorite is, "Then we shall fight in the shade."

Supposedly this line was actually said (or something very close) in the actual event. Who knows, but they did get that line from historical texts apparently.

Yup. And "come and take them" or Molon Labe was also a direct quote from Thermopylae.

As someone mentioned before, read the book "Gates of Fire" for another fictional account of Thermopylae. One of my favorite books.
