was there ever a final decision on whether or not this will be the last season? I saw an article where FOX was thinking about it but the wife said she heard on the radio that it was a done deal......

If it comes back next season, it probably won't be on FOX. I read last week that the producers were shopping the show to NBC. Apparently, NBC is interested.
I think this should be the last season, and they should go ahead and make the movie.

their creativity seems to be running low, i'd rather seem them end it than to keep getting worse.

Not true. It MAY become true, but right now the show is being shopped around to NBC.

Sources tell Entertainment Weekly’s Mike Ausiello that the studio behind “24” is now pitching the show to NBC.
While Fox seems ready to dump the adventures of Jack Bauer after its current eighth season, “24” still gets better ratings than most of NBC’s current series.

Have you seen NBC's ratings? They are rather comical, plus they have a lot of hours to fill now that Leno at 10 flopped

Why don't they and a fake fiel that gives a false security flaw that would tip off CTU that the rods were being smuggled in?
