The movie was so close to being a good movie, it was just lacking some key parts. The story just was not strung together well. I honestly was not captured by the story and was just watching for the action at times.

Far too many running scenes IMO, the one from Casino Royale was epic, but why try to duplicate it?

And Craig is still an excellent Bond.

I thought Craig was too stiff this time around. The thing was they were trying to sell me that Bond was out of control seeking revenge, yet he never loosened up to show that nor were any of his actions that irrational.

Anyone that died had a reason to die and a lot of times it seemed more like a "shite happens" than Bond was on some sort of killing rampage.

Also Queasy Fight Cam a la Bourne 2

Lots of Bourne rip offs, not just the style. Russia at the end in the snow to have a catharsis?
Hmm, think I saw that plot point in BOURNE.

Tons of that shite.

It wasn't horrible, there were good things. I'll try to do goods and bads.

Opening Car Chase -- GOOD
Opening credits -- bad
Chasing M's bodyguard -- some of each
Bumbling into the girl and the plot -- bad
Boat chase -- bad
Opera scene with 'Quantum' secret society -- bad
Red head girl -- good, but what the hell was she wearing. In fact, I'm putting her in the bad pile, but she was fricking hot.
Party scene -- really good
Mathis death scene -- bad
Mathis dumped in the dumpster -- good
Airplane chase -- good
M's guards hunting bond -- bad
Felix selling bond out, but keeping him in the loop - good
The General that the brunette girl wants to kill --good
Mr. Greene -- kinda good
Mr. White -- kinda crappy this time around
The exploding hotel at the end -- a little over the top, but good
Canadian girl at the end -- good, but I wanted him to kick that guy's arse.

That about covers it. Lot's of good, some crap, and some stuff that was VERY crappy. OH, I hated the big holographic Star Trek wall.

Incidentally I know want to see the Star Trek movie.

I enjoyed the movie. I think the previews set the story for you, that and Casino Royale. A man angry with revenge on the brain. This movie was set up to be mainly action with little story I thought. The villian was not a strong villian, but really he was a secondary story to the movie so why build that up much? This movie was more about the trust issues in the agency and the revenge Bond was seeking. It was what I expected, I think the next one will be back to building a strong throughout the movie and less action.

Question though, M's numbder one man in the office, was he in on making Bond out to be a bad guy? I thought he was the other villian in the agency but they never really hit on that. Did I miss something with that?

I liked the movie also, thought the action scenes kicked arse. The plot was a bit lacking, but I wasnt overly disappointed.

I wish Bond would tap more arse, but right now he seems to be wielding a dong of death.

No, in the books Bill Tanner is M's Chief of Staff, and one of Bond's only friends.

Tanner was saying that the EVIDENCE kept pointing to Bond. They kind of did a bad job with that, too.

I thought the action was really good too. Plot was just not there, which is why I didn't really like it.

yeah some good moments (and hot chicks) but overall not up to par with last one.

just seemed more like -- 'oh remember last time when..' rather than a true story.

They took that shite too far, but even in casino royale you had an awesome car and the cool medical thingy in it as a gadget. This had...... nothing.
