One thing we can all agree on is we're long past the days of games buried on Golf Channel. At least ESPN is much more accessible than the NBC networks that prioritized Shark Tank instead of playoff games.

I see people all the time on YouTube comment about how much they miss the rivalries with the Red Wings. Or moving X team to Atlanta, Quebec City, or some other eastern market. And I keep trying to tell them there's a reason why the Red Wings went to the Eastern Conference. They aren't coming back. That was brutal travel they had to all those western teams. The league isn't going to make the Red Wings go back for some other team that has no clout. That's why moving the Flames or Coyotes to the East Coast isn't happening. It fricks up the alignment of the divisions.

There was nothing, and I mean nothing, like those Red Wings-Avalanche games in the late 1990s though. Best rivalry the league ever had.
