The title of the thread is NBA all time starting 5, it's pretty clear he is asking to choose the best player at every position.

All-time starting 5 does not necessarily mean the best at each position. Some positions had better players than others and one may want two players from the same position on the floor. Besides the idea of 5 distinct positions is an unnecessary concept anyways.

You can keep saying it but it doesn't make it so. If he specied, "each position" then you would have a point; he didn't. Furthermore, he listed two PGs in his own starting 5. Regardless, we don't need 5 distinct positions; we need players that can fulfill the necessary skills and roles.
