very unusual so far from Valverde.

He's not used to seeing a lineup like this

as compared to seeing the Royals, White Sox, Twins, Indians, etc

I swear as he was going for that ball I thought "he is about to slip on that"

I would walk Cano and take my chances with ARod

Ball game. Now I really am interested in seeing how Burnett does in game 4.

Advantage Detroit. Home field advantage with Verlander on the mound Monday. This series is gonna be good.

Huge advantage for Detroit. The rain delay definitely helped them out more.

Verlander vs. Sabathia in Yankees Stadium is still a 55/45 chance in favor of the Yankees winning.

But in Detroit, it's like 65/35 in favor of Detroit.

Sabathia will have to earn his money tomorrow. Honestly, this is the biggest Yankees game since 2009. Huge for this series, huge for the future. Sabathia's performance tomorrow could go a long way in determining his future with the team, IMO.

The Yankees should almost throw Burnett out there tomorrow.

That would pretty much guarantee two straight elimination games.

Yeah, but odds are they're going to be playing 2 in a row anyway. Would be useful to have Sabathia in Game 4 over Burnett.

Not saying I would do it, but I'd at least think about it.

I was at the game. The Stadium was really rocking when Cano came up. The Yankee fans asked what I thought the Tiger's should do. I said walk Cano. Valverde took it straight to him throwing almost all strikes and made the pitches when it really counted last night.

Loved the atmosphere of Yankee stadium during playoff baseball. Was unusually quiet for most of the game though

That's cool that you were there.

Hopefully the short rest has more of an effect on Verlander than Sabathia.

The Yankees have gotten to Detroit's bullpen in both of the two games so far, so hopefully they can do that again tonight.

Colin Cowherd talking about how funny it could be if the Yankees season comes rests on AJ Burnett's shoulders again. "There's a saying in the business world - You're only as good as your weakest link. I think that's the same thing here."

Huge game tonight. Maybe the biggest non-World Series game for the Yankees since 2004.
