Does he travel a lot? I've never seen him at any circuit events

Big cash game player. He's got a ton of Stu Unger in him. That 176K he took down in the 40K Hold'em event was probably gone at a Pai Gow table within a day.

Oh ok. I am working up here in Shreveport to put together a bankroll to go to the WSOP for two weeks next summer. Play a few early events and the main.

Ya that's a huge event. You have to have a good bit of gamble in you to play in that. I had a good friend who won a seat 2 years ago while we were in Vegas to the 50K horse and he couldn't sell it so he had to play. Out after day 1 and felt like shite he couldn't get the 50 for the seat.

He couldn't get ANYTHING? Or was he trying to sell it at face? I know if someone walked up to me with that, I would at least go 2 or 3K.

If I go back that is what I will do this year. Gone the past 3 years for the whole 2 1/2 mo but can't this summer because my fiance and I are moving to Houston.

If you go and you can play in the ME I HIGHLY recomend it. Greatest experience of my life and i've had the opportunity to play twice. i was so upset at myself in 2006 cause I chose to buy into the New Orleans 10k ME instead of the LV ME cause I was hot. I went on a terrible cold streak that year at the WSOP Vegas and couldn't afford the ME.

He tried to sell it for 40k just before the tournament started and couldn't find anyone. Everyone who is in that tournament is sponsored, very few actually buy in.

I'm definitelty playing in the ME. I already have that entry fee covered, I am just trying to build up enough to play some of the early ones and not live off McDonald's while I'm there.

Honestly, my advice would be to play in some of the Venetian deep stacks or Caesars tournaments. The 1500 and 2K events they start you with absolute shite for chips. The tournaments are absolute crap shoots. You can buy in for a third of the price at the Venetian and get 5 times the starting chips. Rio tournaments for grinders are a complete waste of money.

I just started playing again. I usually play once or twice a week. I have a wife and kid now, so the 5 day a week sessions are a thing of the past for me.
