I'll take my chances with the guys we have now. I'd rather beat Lebron with our guys than win with Lebron on my squad.

lol at comparing landing LBJ and landing Drew. Drew was a gigantic risk and not many wanted him. He wasn't exactly a hot prospect. He wasn't anywhere near the best player in the league at the time

I guess Darren Sharper is Dwayne Wade too.

only cause of his success afterwards, not before. drew only had one team that had real interest in him post his miami physical.

Yet NO offered him $60M deal that offseason...Brees wasn't a small FA at the time.

He was clearly some diamond in the rough during his days in SD.

stop acting like him and LeBron is comparable. he was coming off a terrible injury. his team didn't even want him and drafted his replacement. saints took a large gamble on him that paid off tremendously. the situations aren't even remotely comparable

let's stop acting like he was great in SD. you don't draft a QB with your 4th pick if you have your franchise qb already

2 out of 32 teams chased him
lebron, 28 out of 28 teams chase him.
your comparison is very weak.

requested unanchor on help board.

I just don't like the trend of players getting together strategizing how to win their championships in the offseason. Not necessarily won in practice or on the court anymore. I mean, you pair lebron up with another 2 pieces again and its instant titles another 4 years barring health. Miami almost sucks right now and they are still winning.

I hate it too but i'd would gladly be a hypocrite if they would team up to come to nola

that aside, trying to compare drew brees and LeBron's free agency is laughable and indicative of an extreme lack of intelligence

i hate lebron. i enjoy rooting against lebron. i rather him not come to nola. I honestly wanted him to become a knick few years ago. i thought that would have been the most interesting and compelling move that still presented him a challenge. Still may be. He's not coming to nola, too much of a pussy. So in any case, i rather him not come here. I rather AD, someone home grown become our "lebron" and maybe the stars align one year where we can shock the world.

I 100% agree that this way would be a lot more satisfying

Do you realize how rare this situation plays out?

Do not want. Heat fans are the worst fans in sports. They are unintelligent cheerleaders who have no actual knowledge regarding the game of basketball. If all of a sudden the Pels had that following, I think I'd have a brain aneurysm watching them take over every median for discussing the team.

why would you care who he signed with, you'll become their number one fan the minute the ink is on the paper.

then he will claim he has been a "fan" of whatever team he goes to for the past 10 years
