Oregon's paint job looks legit.

I kinda used to like Bama's in the mid-2000s when they had the parquet floor with the pissed off looking elephant at midcourt.

It's a swamp and cypress trees. But it's way too busy.

Not a bad idea in theory, just not great in execution.

CSB

I work at a small time (NAIA) university in intercollegiate athletics... our WBB just played ULL in an exhibition

one of our coaches were like "it looks horrible from floor level"

another coach was like "I was looking at something on the floor and suddenly realized 'oh that's supposed to be a pelican."

The worst part about the Sun Belt Tournament court is that the lanes and the city skyline are the same color as the border. Makes it hard as hell to see if someone is inbound or not.

At least it was the last couple of years. That pic makes it look lighter.

CSB indeed

Yeah, you have to be in the upper levels to make out what it's suppose to be if you don't know already.

the out of bounds line is black I believe... so easy for the referees to pick it up on floor level

Is that SBC court or UNO's? I thought UNO used it all the time, then the SBC just put decals over stuff.

we agreed that if they're hosting a recruit from out of the area that they need to show the arena from the top 1st so they can see the design before going down onto the court

It might be. I've only been to Sun Belt tourney games.

Cal State Fullerton and Long Beach State have the same court. Must have been a 2 for 1 deal.

I think UNO is Southland Conference

they wouldn't want SunBelt Conference stuff all over their home floor

I think the Long Beach setup is so fresh and so clean, but the CSF court is terrible.

My biggest issue with basketball courts these days is "the paint" having zero ounces of fricking paint

for a lot of smaller schools... having no paint in the... uh... well... paint... is a money saving thing

paint is quite expensive

that's why we didn't fill in the lane when we re-did our court design last December

The modern designs with the different shades of brown are bad. But I did like this:

I'm sure a lot of people take issue with the Pelicans court design

Think about what a cat does after it relieves itself? It builds a mound you dummy.
