I was impressed with Schwarber. He struck out twice, but his other two ABs were very good

Random thought: I think it sucks that teams play the majority of the season in warm weather and when it comes down to the end of the season the cold weather plays a role all of a sudden in the World Series.
Both teams have to play in it, sure. But it must suck. And it affects the game.

I never saw the temperature for the game.

The only AB he looked outmatched was the first one. His last strike out he battled a tough left-hander like hell.

cubs will need to wait another 71 years to get a crack at it

Cubs are like 8-2 in games under 50 degrees. Cleveland is 2-7. I think it was 51 degrees at first pitch.

I'm just saying it must be annoying for the players. I always thought this about the end of the baseball season, Cubs notwithstanding.

I sure hope so. Would love to see all the Cubs pink hatters go away until next September.

The season definitely lasts longer than it should. They should either shorten the regular season by 4-6 games, or, my personal preference, go back to scheduled double headers. If each team had one scheduled double header per month, they could end the world series about a week earlier. If they combine that with going to 158 games, they could definitely finish by the 3rd week in October.

I honestly did not realize until last night that Andrew Miller was 6'7"
Ive always focused on the movement and overall nastiness of his stuff. Never noticed how tall he is

Do they? I don't have much confidence in all in Arrieta right now. Even the Giants game where he left with the lead he got away with several hangers his last two innings.

I say that same thing every year. I hated playing in the cold. It's not like other sports where you can keep moving around.
Football does the opposite, to a lesser degree.

Soler starting in RF tonight (presuming the game is played)
His splits in cold weather are horrible. But they're probably better than what Heyward's bringing right now
