They sure as frick ARE choking. Feliz. Ogando. Those guys have been lights out. Them struggling is entirely the effect of the environment, IMO. Too big a stage, not enough heart. Not tonight, anyway.

I would do anything to see Carpenter self implode tomorrow but this Cardinals team is like 2008 LSU. Once you win a game like that you always feel like you have a chance no matter what the score. Teams like that are hard to beat, especially in a place like Busch.

I think he is gone from StL, they won't pay him what he can command (and deserves) but it also won't hamstring the club. He will always be a Cardinal in my mind.
