and paired with jrue would make pels automatic best defensive backcourt. do you even watch the game?

Yes I watch the game. And I can't stand Lonzo fricking Ball.

Besides, he doesn't fill a need for us. It would be awesome to be great at perimeter defense at two spots, but who is going to score from the guard position? Jrue isn't a volume scorer or a great shooter by any means. And Lonzo looks like a baby deer learning how to walk when he shoots it.

so you're saying that adding Zo (injured), BI, Kuzma, Zubac, Hart, & picks wouldn't have changed our win total by 1 game?

damn these guys sound like once in a lifetime prospects

I can't stop laughing. Literally the dumbest person on TD. And that is saying A LOT.

Not to mention EVERY OTHER TEAM's WIN TOTAL.

The only way to get that exact combination is to finish in the spot they did and split combinations with other teams.

If they finish with even 1 win or loss more that does not happen.

Yes. The person that doesn't know how logic, probabilities, or math work is very smart.

I guess it depends on how you define “high level player” but #4 in this draft isn’t landing a lower level star

Most of the proposals I’ve seen with the Pelicans getting Beal are hilariously bad for the Wizards.

I'll explain this so you can understand:

In order to get the same chance they had, they would have had to have the exact same amounts of wins and losses against, more than likely, the exact same teams...

AND, the Lakers would have had to have the EXACT SAME wins and losses against, more than likely, the exact same teams.

Do you understand how the combinations regarding the lottery work?

I don't think you do based on this answer. If they finish anywhere else they do not get that SPECIFIC COMBINATION, one of many that they received.

I would say no better than a LaMarcus Aldridge or Bradley Beal.

Lonzo, Kuz, 4? Maybe a future pick?

the probability remains roughly the same. give or take ~3%.

you're out here suggesting pels turned down a boat to increase Zion odds by 3%.

sure thing pels lmao

the Pelicans finished in 7th place and received all of the combinations associated with the 7th overall pick. win 1 game, lose one game and we get the combinations for the 5th, 6th, or 8th pick.

ask the Wizards & Bulls where they are drafting

Not only that but if I remember correctly we were tied with other teams and had to win a coin toss for slotting (the coin toss does not effect number of combinations).
