There will be a market, but nothing like MJ.

South Beach 8s will still be sought. Most others? Probably not.

None will be sought like J's in original colorways.

1-12 (except for 2 and 8) were all just absolute slam dunk designs.

I don't think so, there isn't a market now. People would rather the new nike air max over the bron brons.

When I new MJ shoe came out people were getting killed over it.

No, MJ is the king of marketing. He still earned the most of any basketball player this past year.

I hate the whole basketball shoe phenomenon. Its getting kids killed and it's ripping kids off.

Air Max is certainly an undeniable classic.
Some LeBron shoes are reselling for ridiculous amounts, but not all. His "What the Lebron?", 2K14's, South Beach color way (specifically in the LeBron 9) are recent ones that are going for $500+, just off the top of my head. While he has a few more big ticket sneakers, he does have a lot of duds though.
LeBron is behind KD & Kobe, out of the current players, in terms of sneakers.
As it's been said, MJ is and will be the king of sneakers for the foreseeable future.

Any moderately good looking, limited shoe is going to be a top-dollar item. The more exclusive, the more revered.
Here's why I think they'll be up there:
-2k14's- Only 2,014 pairs made, they'll be expensive purely out of how limited they are.
-"What the Lebrons?" 9,10, and 11- the 9's are going for over $3,800. the 10's are going for over $2,400. The 11's will be going for slightly less, but will still be pretty high.

Some other limited ones:
-I didn't include the "LeBronald Palmers", the only LeBron I'd buy at the right price, coming in at well over $3,000.
-The Miami Night 8's- another one over $1,000
-The Watch the Throne 9's- probably would cost $2,500
-Along with the aforementioned, add the Cork 9's and earlier Lebrons.

This. And I don't see the point of spending that much on a pair of tennis shoes.

I will say no.

I was thinking about this yesterday. I see more people in Durant's shoes then I do Lebrons.

This is actually a really good point as to why people defend MJ as the GOAT so much. As evidenced by his shoes, he's an incredibly popular figure. People grew up idolizing him and reminisce on him as if he never had a bad game and could carry any team to a title. I do think he was the best player ever, so far. But Lebron gets attacked a lot because people are so obsessed with MJ and don't want his throne to be taken away, and Lebron has a shot. But the guys who idolized him will criticize Lebron for any slight fault he has and remember Jordan like he never did any wrong, so in public perception he has no chance
