Will paying for ESPN+ make the live streaming for ESPN, ESPN 2, etc any better?

We all know how bad the ESPN app is for live streaming games during peak viewing times. I'm curious if anyone has found that the main app works better for highly watched live games if they also add the ESPN+ subscription. Does ESPN give app streaming priority to the + subscribers?

It's all on the same platform. I doubt it.

And you can have espn+ without having cable (ESPN). And the kinds of games you're worried about (high viewership) would have nothing to do with espn+. So no, don't think you'd get priority like the system phone companies use.

This is what I assume. Which seems so crazy that they would try to sell a $60/year subscription using an app that is universally known for being terrible. I feel like you have to convince me your app will actually work before I would ever pay money for it.

I never have any problems with the espn app. If its not working for you its most likely due to a bad internet connection

Haven't had any issues with espn or espn+ online lately. The last big game I watched was OU-Bama playoff game. I was out of the country and VPN'ed in. No issues with quality.

Did the ESPN app seem to work better after you added + to it? Everyone I know had major issues with the ESPN app for all the CFB playoff games.

Maybe just me, but I’ve never had a problem with any ESPN streaming. I use it on Apple TV and ROKU with cox internet (I don’t have cable tv).

The only things on watch on the ESPN app are UFC events that are on ESPN+ or PPV and so far I haven’t had any problems with that. College Football games are the only thing I have any buffering issues in terms of watching on the app.
