Could Bell's running style work with other backs or is he just a fluke?
He seems to be a perfect fit. If he leaves PIT, chances are small he continues the success, at least at this level of success anyway.
As far as coaches teaching this style, they'd have to be able to evaluate the talent at the high school level and have the O-Line to make it happen.
The vision, patience, burst speed and strength he has is a rare mixture. Take away one of those elements and he literally cannot play like this anymore

It's really astonishing how he's transformed himself both physically and stylistically.
He looks as lean as a wr and he was a hoss at msu.
this....hell even in his rookie year he was more of a plodder

His vision and ability to breakdown what he's seeing is freakish. Couple that with his elite athletic ability and you have a back who can be patient.
ETA: Barry Sanders is the only back with better vision than Bell

No, the talent you need to have to do that is off the charts.
Bell is special.
No one else can really do what he does.

David Johnson runs similar. Definitely the way to go if you wanna last these days. The days of going full speed through every hole and getting the shite knocked out of you are over if you want to start the whole year

The Steelers run a ton of counter runs. More than any other team which also help him.
