He pretty much took Wilder apart saying that he's psychologically broken now because when power fighters get schooled and beat up, they're never the same again.

That's bullshite.

Boxing history is littered with power fighters who make comebacks.

Money.

This fight was the biggest take in MGM history.

I just think Joshua will continue to duck everyone. If he gets beat again he's done.

Fury would also want to have the fight in Vegas because he knows how big those fights sell and Joshua won't want to leave his island.

That's a giant draw if it's held in Vegas. I just have no faith in ever seeing that fight with the way Joshua's camp hides him.

A heavyweight unification bout would make more money.

Andre Ward just said that Wilder has 30 days to opt into the rematch and he said he doesn't think he should or will do it now.

Yeah, why in the world would he? Sure, it’d be a nice payday, but if he gets dominated again like this—or worse—it will be the last big paycheck of his career. And I think it would be a worse arse-beating than tonight. Psychologically, he knows he can’t beat Fury.

I wonder how much that 12th round get up in the last fight stuck with Wilder. He even said in the video package tonight that that's the hardest he ever hit somebody and they got up.

I think Wilder could maybe beat up Andy Ruiz and make a pretty decent payday. I'd watch that fight

Yeah the fact that Fury didn't even call out Joshua post-match makes me think his team knows it's not even worth trying.

Joshua is out here fighting tomato cans and losing.

Really?

Psychologically, Ali knew he couldn't beat Frazier.

Lost the first, controversially won the second. And wanted to throw in the towel in Manilla, told his corner after the 14th to cut his gloves off. They ignored him.

Frazier's corner called the fight against his wishes.

Mark Kreigel on ESPN just said that Fury has won 15 of the last 19 rounds against Wilder... Wow

Can I just say I respect Wilder's corner more than any other in a long time after tonight.

To call the fight, it's not something you see a lot. Seems they actually care about him and his well being.

Now let those cynics come in about "protecting the meal ticket".

I've seen too many corners not stop a fight, and allow their fighter take unnecessary damage.

I thought it was a good move by them, but there was undoubtedly some business decisions being made there, too.

When a fighter is no longer protecting himself, the ref and/or your corner is responsible for ending the fight.

Wilder was no longer protecting himself. You could even make the argument that the fight should've been stopped in the 6th.

Hell if that would have been a UFC bout in new York state, a doctor would have already stopped the fight between rounds.

I agree with the stoppage, but it’s a much better look for your corner to stop a fight than any of the alternatives. (Getting knocked out, having the ref stop it, or quitting)

There is an auto rematch clause in the contract with Wilder. Whoever lost tonight has 30 days (I think it is 30) to call for a rematch if they want it. No point in the winner tonight calling out anyone with that clause in the contract.

Edit: Joshua has two mandatory fights to take. He more than likely takes both of those this year. There will likely be a 3rd fight between fury - wilder later this year based on that rematch clause. So Joshua fighting either of tonight’s guys wouldn’t happen until 2021 regardless

I really hope Wilder gets knocked out after that incredible racist entrance we just all witnessed.

Media ignored it.

Imagine if Fury walked into "white power, white everything, we white and don't want any other thing, white this, white that, white history is everything."

Yeah...he'd be banned from boxing.

Dude, it was a fricking boxing match...he must've had stupid handlers in his ear making it about race. That doesn't ingratiate you to people, that doesn't make you global money. Being black and militant never wins $ in the end.

Tyson Fury was probably wondering, what year is it?

Is this 1968?

You gotta say I love all people. Tiger Woods and Chuck were probably thinking, what the frick is he doing? It's 2020. Shut the frick up, learn to box and make people like you.

Probably has been already said but those commentators were utter garbage. Not to sound sexist but having a woman commentate this match was a massive fail.

I wonder Wilder told the rapper guy that he was going in all black and to write a song about it and that's what we got.

Wilder in defeat was actually very classy and likable. But his lead up to the fight was kind of bizarre and it was like he was a bad WWE actor playing a part. Almost fake over confidence, deep down thinking he may be in trouble.

That was actually normal for a Wilder fight
