and before people LOL at Bradford, he's done about as well as he can in his situation. if he had a halfway decent line and the weapons that Brees, manning, etc have, he'd be putting up nasty numbers.

Plus factor in some injury trouble as well. The cupboard in St. Louis was really bare until the last couple drafts, and still isn't in great shape.

And yet Bob could only muster a .500 record against him while he was at the vastly inferior Okie Lite

Well hell, I guess that means Dubose > Spurrier and Zook > Richt then.

52-9. He won one game by 3, and the other he won by 10. Not exactly beating us down

yea one was like 16-13 or something, right? miles won the first two meetings, then stoops the last two?

I honestly think miles and stoops are about even. each would have about the same success as the other if they switched places.

Agreed. I would like to see how Miles would recruit here though. He would tear Texas up.

Thought problem with stoops is he at best will be the 3rd best coach in schools history. Meyer is neck n neck with best ever at Florida and will end up as 2nd best coach in Ohio st history.

Felt like a blowout. LSU's defense was so dominating the game was never in doubt.

Because beating Big XII opponents doesn't carry much weight with the college football cognoscenti and Oklahoma hadn't beaten many quality non-Big XII opponents recently.

This, but on coaching alone.

Until he proves he likes to get in there, mix it up, and recruit, I wouldn't want him.

However, I do think he is a top 5 coach, just not a top 15 recruiter.

There's a reason they're called "Choke-la-homa".

But I agree. Year in and year out he has OU in the Top 10-15.

He lost to fricking boise state!!!!

He is the reason we all as fans had to listen to their shite for six years after. And his first BCS bowl win after a while came against an absolutely horrible UConn team that should not have been there.

Add in the fact that for years, Bob Stoops and the Sooners have only had one real game all year, Texas. Baylor just now got good, Tech had one year when Crabtree was out there, and Kansas State had a year, but obviously were not real good either.

Big game Bob is a joke.

Because Bob chooses the bowl matchups

LSU's only consistent "real game" of the past few years has been Alabama.

Bob Stoops has arguably gotten 3 cracks at BCSNCs that he didn't deserve.

They definitely deserved to be there in 08

That UF team was arguably one the most talented teams in a very long time.

Stop it.

Stoops is a good coach, on the same level as Miles. He earned the nickname "Big Game Bob" for a reason though.

He has a point. The SEC has obviously been better than the Big12 but no one we play besides Bama has been consistent the past 5-6 years
