You have a point. Of course if only college success is measured in the amount of pro players you produce. BC Saban and Miles is crushing the NFL in all-pros.

Which has nothing to do with college football.

Gerald McCoy is prlly the second or third best DT in the NFL behind Ngata and Atkins. Hes right on par with Justin Smith. That being said, anyone that would take Bob Stoops over Les Miles is out of there mind.

I put Miles about even with Stoops. I don't think there is a right or wrong choice with either one.

Right, forgot about that Notre dame game. So he's won half as many BCS bowls as Stoops and has the same number of Titles

His resume is certainly better than Miles. And while the situation Stoops came into included a talented roster, it was still not as good as the situation Miles stepped into

And yet Bob could only muster a .500 record against him while he was at the vastly inferior Okie Lite

This.

Plus, Stoops can't just stay in-state and field a competitive team like Miles can at LSU. Not to say LSU doesn't recruit nationally, because you do and do it well. But OU is like Tennessee in that it relys largely on it's neighbor to the south for players, plus we hit the West Coast pretty well, which has always astounded me.

Just on star-power in terms of recruiting though, LSU has killed us lately.

BCS bowl games brings in ~14mil. Stoops has OU in a bunch more BCS bowl games than Miles.

This is true, Miles is able to recruit better than Stoops. Despite that, OU has won two BCS bowls since the last time LSU won one.

This BCS bowl talk is dumb when comparing Miles and Stoops, considering the Stoops has played in a two-team conference for the last 10+ years.

Miles and Stoops are in the same tier of college coaches IMO. A case can be made for both.

OU doesn't have saban and bama in their conference, much less division.

jokes aside, stoops is very likely top 5, but there isn't a really good direct comparison to miles since his conference and division doesn't have a rival coach the likes of saban. it's much easier (easier than miles, not easy to win in general) for him win the conference and make it to a BCS bowl. that doesn't take away from his ability as a coach because you still have to win the games, plus he beat the hell out of saban this year. and I also think he would be just as successful as miles in the SEC while saban is still here.

and miles/stoops went 2-2 while miles was at lil bro

Nebraska had a shot one year, as did texas tech. okie state had a really good chance in 2011, and Texas had plenty of chances and a title. mizzou and Kansas were legit in 2007

hardly just a two team conference.

4 > 2 and Miles stepping in to a much better situation disagree, but okay.
