Slackhouse makes no sense... they're part of the system just not AQ's.

You are correct. I was wrong.

They should be allowed to play in the MNC if they are high enough in the BCS. But, there is no way that both teams make it in. Any other team that's in the top 15 currently ends up at #3 in the human polls and they will pass either Boise or TCU in the BCS.

I still think that we see Oregon and a team with 1 loss in the championship. Unless, Auburn comes back and wins out.

It's awesome, and I hope it happens. There will be a playoff soon if this does occur.

It would certainly reward playing a crappy ooc schedule.

The problem with these schools getting in is that once they have broken that barrier of being blocked out of the NC game they will have a great chance of being in every single year with their easy schedules.

how can a team that doesn't play in a BCS conference win a BCS national championship?

AP? Fine.
Coaches? Fine.
Any other poll? Fine.

BCS? Nope.

BCS does not award a NC. The coaches poll awards their NC by obligation to the winner of the BCS CG

The system is what it is. Who gets in the BCS NCG says nothing about the BCS or the process it uses to determine the teams.

Lemme ask you this.

What kind of attrition does Boise face in any given year?

Who do they play?

Should they be rewarded with a NC for playing Nobody?

If they finish in the top two in the current BCS system, then 100% yes.
