I had forgotten about this until I rewatched some fights. Rogen talked about it on one of Penns walkouts. He said "BJ Penn does not need to fight. he doesn't need the money at all. he just loves to fight."
That's pretty cool.
I personally would have chose to avoid permanent brain injury but props to him for being a bad arse.

Unfortunately BJ seems like he might need a little help to get his stuff back together from what I’ve seen lately. I’m a little worried about potential CTE.
Danaher, I just learned a whole bunch about this fella from one of my buddies who trains.
For anyone who doesn’t know, Danaher is who Gordan Ryan goes to for coaching.
And as our boy, the consensus board favorite UFC fighter Dustin Poirier would say, “dont be silly jump the gilly”

UFC, the youngest of all the sports, showed the rest of those assholes how to put a product together for fans that is phenomenal.
Almost all the other sports have taken massive steps backwards while UFC has consistently improved over 25 years or whatever.
