I thought going into today that Ohio State would win, and Michigan St would be competitive and maybe win. I'm almost right about Michigan St, who I don't think is a bad team at all.

The Big 12 and Pac 12 need to get better bowl affiliations and start taking the Big 10 teams off the prime slots and news years' bowls. Seriously.

I think MSU is the 2nd best team in the Big Ten, and got absolutely hosed by the bowl selections.

They easily are. They may have gotten hosed, but this game seemed like one of the better matchups going into the game, and it's bearing out.
I don't think MSU gets as much respect nationally as they should.
ETA: And I'm saying this as an SEC fan.

Yeah, it just irritates me that both teams in the Outback Bowl are better than their conference counterparts in the Cap One. The games should've been the opposite. MSU and UGA should be in Orlando.

This I can agree with. It seems like the losing team in championship games gets screwed every year though (LSU definitely did in '05), because the bowls want to lock up matchups too early and the CapOne never waits until the SECCG gets played.
