think about it. MLB really only becomes entertaining in the postseason, because then each game become more valuable to the fans and players, because there are fewer.
Real baseball fans completely disagree with that. Plenty of us don't miss a game all season and find regular season games just as entertaining as post season games.

I love baseball (2nd fav. sport, but I wouldn't call myself a junkie/"real" baseball fan, either) but I watched it pretty much every day almost (except right now, since I have no TV). I enjoy the RS. It has its dull stretches, but it's still pretty cool.

As much as LSU fans go crazy over Tiger baseball, you'd have to think they'd support a Louisiana MLB team

NOLA is an "event" based town. That's why 8 home football games have always done well even when the team is bad. It feels like a big deal every time.
With basketball this is numbed a great deal and although they team is making it work it has been a struggle with 42 games on the docket. With baseball it would be ridiculous.

Name them
Well, here are just a few that I saw pretty quickly...for teams that did or are doing awful this season... Cubs (9th in the MLB @ 66-96), Redskins (2nd in the NFL @ 1-3), Giants (3rd in the NFL @ 0-5), Phillies (5th in the MLB @ 73-89), Panthers (8th in the NFL @ 1-3), Falcons (13th in the NFL @ 1-4)
I don't pay attention to the NBA so I'm not going to go through their numbers.

Nobody really. It's not much of a baseball town. Some people like the Astros and some people like the Braves. That's about it though.

the Stros and braves makes sense. I thought there were quite a few cubs fans in Louisiana (from WGN broadcasts) as well, but I might be wrong.

Me too..It doesn't even have to be "new orleans", per se. It could be just "Louisiana", and you'd have many fans from BR, Nola, and Mississippi come to games. People love baseball down here, maybe not as much as football, but it's stilla hot commodity come spring time.
I agree. Louisiana Leather Necks.
It would be sweet.

Because we have no state team to be loyal to. So we cheer for a number of teams.
I like the braves, saints, falcons, green bay, and that's about it.
The cards have my respect though. I would also cheer for a Louisiana MLB team. In the NBA, I normally cheer for certain players to do well, not any specific team.
I'm sure its like this in most states, but even more so in the states without pro teams.

Why does Louisiana not have a MLB team?
It's called LSU baseball.

Gotta say, I'd pull for a Louisiana MLB team if they weren't in the same division as the Rangers. I post this in anticipation of it being moved to the MSB.
