Why do they never call traveling?

The crap they get away with now compared to 20+ years ago is absurd.

The simple solution is start calling travelling and fouls by the rule book in HS and AAU ball, the rest will take care of itself.

1 They call traveling often.

2 The refs are focusing on contact fouls a lot more than footwork often, hard to watch for a slap and the feet at the same time especially with the way these guys move today.

3 A lot of the clips you posted were from old games where the NBA didn't enforce carrying nearly as often, so people got away with what looked like traveling as an exaggerated carry that would be called today.

4 A lot of the times if it's mid-game and doesn't really have an impact on a possession, I think they just don't bother because as someone mentioned it would make the game unwatchable.

5 steps in the paint? Never. The game had become an abomination since it's heyday in the 70's, 80's, and early 90's

The game winner overshadowed I think the a first carrying call in the history of basketball being called on Tatum with a few minutes left
