Well it was because I had a friend who played on that Ole Miss team. I usually always root for the in state team, and that girl got all offended because I wanted the team my friend plays for, to go to Omaha. At least I don’t wear Ole Miss colors, or the colors of the team that’s playing LSU

I have friends from Ohio who went to places like Bowling Green and Miami, OH who root for Ohio State when they play Michigan and Penn State and Michigan State.
I honestly never root for La Tech or Tulane to lose when they play Rice or Alabama. I was glad that Tulane built a new stadium.

Because he’s a fan of the lone, undisputed, unchecked and unrivialed flagship of Louisiana. If little ULaLa or Louisiana Tech wins or loses, it means nothing for the Great State of Louisiana.
When LSU wins, the whole State of Louisiana wins. When LSU loses, the whole State of Louisiana loses.

Most don't at UL. Old timers hate LSU because of the bullshite they pulled in the early 80s blocking the name change. Young fans are like young fans anywhere... They are rooting for the It team. Most UL students grew up rooting for LSU and went to UL because they are local and/or cheaper. They typically continue to root for LSU except against UL.

Tulane and lsu fan here. I can’t stand alabama. I pull for all Louisiana teams when they aren’t playing my two teams. But that’s just me.

As it should be. LSU has done nothing for me, isn't doing anything for me, and will never do anything for me except serve as a source of entertainment when they inevitably end up 2nd tier behind better run institutions. They went from unbeatable national champion to Mississippi State level in the West in less than two years. That fall isn't as much sad as it is impressive given the millions and millions of dollars they have at their disposal. I mean, they're paying a barely literate Muppet $17 million to go away. That's as entertaining as watching the Keystone Cops.

We don’t care. Fans of the nationally ranked 8-1 Louisiana Ragin Cajuns do not concern themselves with unranked teams with losing records who are struggling to make a bowl game
