I don't know how I misread that. I won't compare Scottie to Hakeem, who, by the way, colluded with Clyde when he demanded a trade from the Blazers. The Rockets were not going to win that second title without him.

Which was?

...no, the method of getting together makes no difference. Bron Bron's legacy, through dominating and winning, is/will be elite nonetheless.

All the Heat do is win. What I don't understand is why the other professionals in the association can't stop them.

do you think jordan would ever team up with malone and the dream ?

do you think magic would team up with larry and moses?

no because they arent bitches who are scared of competition

So if MJ and Magic didn't have other HOFers playing with them their 1st 7 years, they would have stuck around for 7 more years of bad players to play with?

Uhh yea it does

Everyone else has had to depend on their franchise and team

Then these 3 bitches didn't like the competition so they decided to team up

Don't know what this question has to do with my point because if they left they wouldn't call other superstars to go to one team and take pay cuts

Lebron and Wade don't need Bosh

So its really only 2 stars that teamed up

Every great team had 2 stars on it

Every pro in the NBA teams up with other people. The other guys just need to get better at playing basketball to try to stop them. This is a dumbarse thread full of whiny butthurt.

Some of you people are so fricking clueless. Magic Johnson:

quote:

Magic Johnson would have returned to Michigan State rather than play for the Chicago Bulls.

"I'd have stayed in school," he said here Tuesday, standing alone outside Gate 3 1/2 of Chicago Stadium, the house that could have been his. "A coin toss changed the course of my whole life." Chicago called heads in a 1979 coin flip with Los Angeles for the No. 1 pick in the NBA college draft. It came up tails.

Johnson signed with the Lakers after his sophomore year of college and proceeded to win five championships. The Bulls picked second, took UCLA's David Greenwood and have won no championships.

"I wouldn't have played here," Johnson said on the eve of Game 2 of the NBA finals between his team and the team that could have been his. "The only reason I came out was to play with Kareem and the Lakers."
LINK Great players have been teaming up with other great players since the beginning of organized sports. Get over it.

But Jordan only had rodman - the greatest rebounder of all time (who they traded for) and scottie pippen - the greatest defending forward of all time and the second most dynamic all around player of his era... who they also traded for

So, sacrificing and doing what it takes to win titles wasn't their main goal, is what you're saying?

Scottie pipped was an unproven rookie when they traded for him. He had not played one minute of NBA basketball. I'm not disagreeing with you, but it's not like they targeted and traded for a proven star

Exactly they were both TRADED

How many games did pippen play in before he was traded?

That's what I thought

No one knew how good he was going to be
