A ULL thread that's at 8 pages? We can do better than that.

I love Louisiana.

UL fans shouldn't be surprised when LSU fans hate on them. LSU fans hate their own athletes and coaches so why wouldn't they hate other people as well.
Taking what the minority of a segment of an LSU message board says and projecting it as the norm for the entire LSU fan base...
Great stuff as always, Mattwells!

Your brother sounds like a douche bag.

I wonder how many of these Lafayette fans were actually Lafayette fans before they started winning sometimes.

Thats the point, the push is done. They ARE Louisiana now.
A hook that shiny will pull them all in.

LSU2006
So LSU fans don't turn on their own?
I guess the 90,000 in Tiger Stadium that have booed LSU players and coaches on multiple occasions aren't LSU fans right?

It really comes in handy that their primary color is red. Whenever their athletic programs take a little dip in quality, they can hop back on over to the Bama bandwagon.
Lather, rinse, repeat.

I would like to point out something we can all chuckle at though. The whole idea of "you bought that LSU shirt at Walmart and didn't even go there" that I used to hear a lot now applies to ULL as well

Then you know the whole city isn't a shithole. Right? quote: Check into your air quality. Probably shitty. Doesn't really influence my feelings on the city, though.
quote: Check into your per-capita crime rates. Etc., etc. Also shitty (but improving), but is concentrated pretty much in one zip code.
Yeah, like those things have nothing to do with QUALITY Iof LIFE, lol. Thanks for making my point.
And I have friends that live in the the swankiest of swanky neighbor hoods of BR, so I know there are good parts. But it still sucks, in totality.

A question that just struck me. What do 'Louisiana' fans chant in big moments in their games?
You know like how LSU fans chant "LSU! LSU! LSU!"?
"Louisiana! Louisiana! Louisiana!" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue easily in a mass chant sort of way.
Anyone?

Matt, you're not helping Louisiana's cause in the education department.

Every program in the history of athletics has booed their own team at some point or another. I remember going to football games at Cajun Field during the Bustle era and seeing/hearing people talk bad about the coaches and players. They'd also leave early, or better yet not even show up
