who cares if he wins a one on one matchup, James Harden is clearly leading a better team.
dabigfella said a lot, but in the end, to answer the OP, he picked Westbrook.

well to be fair shel, Lavar Ball can beat Michael Jordan 1 on 1 too and I wouldn't want him on my team either

I'm certain it was bad... your post that was pro-Harden and anti- Westbrook, Boom didn't agree with. Yea, it's that.

Excellent. Russ's role in running KD out of town is mostly ignored. He's getting what he wanted. He wanted to not have to share shots and was willing to sacrifice wins. Heard a very nice interview on this re: Current players feeling in MVP.

JH can't get flop calls when it's 1on1.

I mean it just makes no sense when you're such a low percentage shooter from all over the floor that you take as many or more shots than the most efficent shooting 7 footer we've seen possibly ever, with more athleticism than probably any 7 footer ever sans Giannis now. Durant is unstoppable really, he hits free throws and could probably score 40 a night easily if westbrick wasn't determined to be the star.

Give Durant CP3 in his prime and the thunder are better off imo.

I suppose you think Dirk is a better shooter and more athletic at that size? Or should I just group Lebron in with the 7 footers? Durant is the best shooting, most athletic 7 footer ever, if you disagree you're wrong.

These are their career stats

Dirk - 47/38/88
Durant - 49/38/88

o are you talking about how durant is 6'9

Durant Finally Admits He's 7 Feet Tall

Every elite scorer could score 40 a night if that was the goal.

Harden, Westbrook, Durant, Lebron, Curry...and I'm sure there's a few more could all score 40 per night, they'd just shoot probably in the low 40s percentage wise, and their teams wouldn't be as good, and they'd likely get hurt due to the energy used up trying to do so.

But you have to account for Westbrooks killer instinct that is perfect for 1 on 1 games.
Does Harden not have that too?

Nah, I thought you were talking about this year's team, so I had no clue who you were talking about. I admittedly skipped the last sentence in the 1st paragraph once I saw CP3 below it.

What has Durant ever done to make you think he would have to shoot in the low 40's percentage wise to score like that? In 2013-14 Durant scored 32 ppg while taking just 20 shots per game. He shot

50.3% on 20 fga per game
39% on 6 3pa per game
87.3% on 10 fta per game

That's about as efficient as you can get, Lebron could never hit 87% at the line he's shooting 68% at the line this year goodness sake. Curry could do it, he did it last year as well, there's very few efficient shooters like Durant and Curry in the NBA. Westbrook isn't one of those efficient shooters yet he shoots as much or more than anyone.

The energy it would take over the course of an entire season to do that would take its toll.

Also, teams would change up their defense if they knew he'd take that many shots, another factor that would lower his, or anyone's FG%.
