No offense, but are all you guys old? I'm a big boxing fan, but I've never seen even a replay of a Dempsey fight. Not that I remember, anyways. . . My grandfather has talked about him, though.

I mean, old enough to have seen replays. I'm 25, and I've never seen anything about Jack Dempsey on TV. Only heard stories.

It isn't like old Jack Dempsey fights were shown 20 years ago and aren't shown now. I've seen some of his stuff on ESPN Classic. And you could probably find some clips on youtube right now if you looked.

In a street fight, Dempsey would kill Ali. People should read up on Dempsey's background. Dempsey was a complete badass who got into a countless number of street fights and barroom brawls just to make ends meet and survive out in the streets. Inside the ring, Ali would beat Dempsey easily but in a no holds barred street fight, it would be insanity to bet against Dempsey.

If we're talking about old fighters who could beat Ali, Jack Johnson is the only one that stands a chance.
Jack Dempsey weighted 192lbs. Gene Tunney beat him twice. These are important facts.

First things first: we're not talking about a "ho holds barred" fight. We're talking about fighting with fists, not MMA.* And with that said:
They could fight in a ring. They could fight in a telephone booth. They could fight in a back alley. They could fight with no gloves. They could fight with 20 ounce gloves. It doesn't matter. Ali manhandles him.
*And even if we are talking about a no holds barred free-for-all, so long as Dempsey doessn't get to hit Ali on the top of the head with a beer bottle or beat him with a baseball bat, I like Ali's chances. He was bigger, stronger, faster, and more athletic,
