Redick scored just as much inside the arc on roughly the same number of shots as Chapman.
Redick took 18 shots per game as a SR.
i took Rex 14 shots to hit 19 PPG as a SOPH. He shot %50 from the field, which JJ never sniffed. JJ was lucky to break %40 his first 3 years.

, he averaged 1.5 points per shot to Chapman's 1.3. You can say that Redick was just a shooter and Chapman had a more complete offensive game, but JJ was the vastly superior scorer,
So you are going to take into account the free throws made within his total points, but only divide by his number of FG attempts?
is that how you calculate "points per shot"? I dont know, just asking. Never heard of that stat before.

That is how ESPN calculates it. It was one of their main metrics until this year. It is a very flawed stat.

is 2 tenths a huge difference?

Redick is having a nice season this year and had a nice season last year. He is averaging 13 a game this year and averaged 11 a game last year.

He's become a very good all around asset. Will never light up the scoreboard (although he has scored 20+ three times so far this season), but he's a great passer, moves without the ball better than anyone not named Ray Allen, doesnt make stupid decisions, and has become a pesky defender (trust me, I know, he's far from a shutdown defender)

he's a solid role player, no doubt
